Hydrocyclones and articles made of self-bonded silicon carbide.

We produce hydrocyclones lined by self-bonded silicon carbide МПК with diameter 360, 500 and 710 mm.

  • Hydrocyclones and parts of lining of hydrocyclones with an operating diameter up to 710 mm.
  • Gas-tight sections of muffles, length up to 500 mm and outer dimensions fit into diameter 770 mm, and plates for manufacture of muffles of furnaces, operating with a protective environment in muffle at temperatures up to 1550°C.

Sizes of plates: length – up to 600 mm , width – up to 450 mm , thickness – up to 40 mm , diagonal – up to 770 mm.

The design of plate allows the assembly of the muffle. Ovens with muffles, made of sections and plates, successfully operate for a long time at State Enterprise “Powder Metallurgy Plant”.

Hydrocyclones with lining made of self-bonded silicon carbide are designed for separation of grains (according to their size) of grinded ore and other minerals in aqueous medium, for drilling mud purification from drilled rock while drilling of wells for oil and gas.

Since 1972 the Plant produces the hydrocyclones of type ГЦ-360, ГЦ-500 , ГЦ-710 with a tangential inlet feed, lined by the most wear-resistant material - self-bonded silicon carbide of grade МПК according to ТУ У 26.2-00186192-095:2009.

According to the data of many years operation at enterprises of Ukraine: Severnyi, Inguletskiy, Novo-Krivorozhskiy mining-and-processing integrated works, Poltava mining-and-processing integrated works, at enterprises of Russian Federation: OJSC “Karelskiy okatysh”, enterprises of Republic of Kazakhstan, of Mongolia, durability of hydrocyclones depending on ore hardness makes up 5-8 years that is 10-15 times more than durability of hydrocyclones lined by cast stone material, rubber, or polyurethane. Herewith the cost of hydrocyclone approximately 30 % higher than the cost of hydrocyclone lined by cast stone material.

Such a long durability is caused by the fact that self-bonded silicon carbide is a material in which grains of silicon carbide contained in the mixture for lining pressing are bound with silicon carbide formed in the course of sintering during high temperature reactive sintering.

In 2006 the Plant manufactured, and North and South mining-and-processing integrated works (Krivoy Rog town) tested hydrocyclone ГЦ-500 with a spiral inlet feed of improved construction. Comparative tests carried out with ГЦ-710 showed that all the parameters of enrichment of hydrocyclone ГЦ-500, including performance correspond to hydrocyclone ГЦ-710, but ГЦ-500 compact and cheaper. These hydrocyclones can be equipped with drain branch pipes and branch pipes (bends), made of self-bonded silicon carbide, which the Plant produces according to the order of enterprises.

Due to the fact that the wear intensity of lining of conical part is significantly higher than of cylindrical part, the Plant since 2004 carries out the repair of hydrocyclones of all manufacturers.

Herewith the lining at the top part of hydrocyclone is repaired of wear-resistant material in places of partial wear; a conical part and a nozzle for discharging of sand (made of self-bonded silicon carbide) are joined and assembled in a metal case.

The durability of hydrocyclone after the repair is not less than 4 years.

Inner dimensions of feeding branch pipes, spiral input, drain pipes and inlets for the nozzles for discharging of sand can be fulfilled in accordance with the request of the customer.
